The senior engineer you talk to on the first call is the person who scopes and builds your project. No sales team, no handoff to juniors after kickoff, and no subcontracting your code to someone you have never met. ### Have you built something like this before? If your project is outside what we know well, we will say so on the first call instead of learning on your budget. ### How often will I hear from you? After a short call you get a written scope with either a fixed price or a weekly rate, what is included, and a date. No work starts and nothing is billed until you agree to it. ### What happens when the scope changes? Plans change, and that is fine. Any change is written down with its effect on price and date before we do it, so the bill never surprises you. ### What will it cost to run after launch? The scope includes an estimate of running costs: hosting, model and API fees, and monitoring. Many quotes leave these out; we put them in writing and design to keep them low. ### Who owns the code, the data and the AI setup? You do, in writing. Code, prompts, evals, infrastructure and accounts live in your name from day one, documented so your team or anyone else can take over. ### AI, data and security ### Will our data be used to train AI models? No. We use model providers whose business terms do not train on your API data by default, and for stricter needs we can run Claude through Amazon Bedrock inside your own AWS account, so your data stays there. ### How do you know the AI is accurate before launch? We build evals: a set of your real tasks with known good answers. The system runs against them on every change, and we share the scores for quality, speed and cost with you. It ships when the numbers meet the bar we agreed on. ### Can the AI see data a user should not see? No. It acts as the person asking, with that person's permissions, and anything that changes data needs a dry run and a person's approval. ### Do you work with regulated data? We build with the controls security and compliance programs expect: least privilege access, encryption, audit logs and secrets in a vault. We are not an auditor, so certification itself stays with your compliance team. ### After launch ### What happens after launch? You get a handover: the code, the infrastructure, runbooks and a walkthrough with your team. Monitoring and alarms are already in place on day one. ### Do you offer support and maintenance? Yes, if you want it: fixes, model and dependency updates, eval runs as your data changes, and new features. If you would rather run it yourself, the handover is built for that. ### What if something breaks? Alarms tell you, and us if we are supporting it, before your customers do.
